Argent (ASX:ARD) uncover rich zones of Kempfield Polymetals

July 25, 2023 0 By Tom Duggan

Argent Minerals have intersected extensive high-grade zones of silver-lead and zinc at the Kempfield Polymetallic deposit.

The NSW government has recognised this site’s rich and deep mineralisation as a significant development area — the deposit has zones as thick as 21.2 meters.

Excitingly, zinc mineralisation has improved in grade and depth consistency, and significant silver-lead-zinc mineralisation has been discovered.

“The newly defined high-grade silver-zinc-lead-gold mineralised zones clearly demonstrate a strong continuation of mineralised extensions at depth within the Kempfield Deposit. These zones of mineralisation have clearly demonstrated that the vertical depth of the overall resource has greater depth extensions than previously delineated in the historical drilling spanning from 2008 until 2020,” Argent Managing Director Pedro Kastellorizos said.

Mr Kastellorizos added the company is now working on a new constrained JORC Resource estimation as future exploration focuses on revealing extensions on the higher-grade zones at Kempfield.

The goal of the seven-hole diamond campaign was to extend new zones revealed from RC drilling at depth, and it appears to have been a success as Argent advances to multi-metal production.

Moving Kempfield to production

The direction is clear at Kempfield, discover an additional five million tonnes of resources and advance the wholly owned and registered New South Wales State Significant Development flagship toward production and positive cash flow.

The polymetallic project already holds a substantial resource of 52 million ounces of silver equivalent contained metal at JORC standard, and Argent has continued to reveal the potential for a much larger mineralised system.

Argent also has a newly acquired Copperhead project to explore and has results coming after completing a helicopter-borne rock chip sampling campaign over many sites with the potential to host both lithium and rare earth mineralisation.
