Cavalier (ASX:CVR) shows deep promise at Forrestania

Cavalier Resources has identified 277 untested anomalies at Ella’s Rock Li-Au-Ni Project in Forrestania in Western Australia.

The geological units emit dyke-like signals that may represent pegmatitic intrusions of the Lithium-Caesium-Tantalum.

The geophysical surveys identified over 277 untested anomalies and have shown an exceptional correlation between the existing anomalous soil geochemistry.

According to the company, the findings support LCT-type mineralisation and DGPR-interpreted dyke-like anomalies for both surveyed areas.

The dyke-like anomalies are similar to those previously surveyed by UltraMag for Galaxy Resources (now Allkem) 90km south at the Mt Cattlin Lithium Project in Ravensthorpe, which are coarse grained lithium-bearing pegmatites.

The Anomalies trend southwest to northeast, analogous to other lithium projects in the Forrestania region.

Ella’s Rock lies 50km southeast of the Earl Grey high-grade lithium project, a joint venture between Wesfarmers and SQM, planned to produce 50,000t of lithium hydroxide per year from 2024.

“Ella’s Rock is strategically positioned to the south of the Earl Grey high-grade lithium project, a joint venture between Wesfarmers and SQM slated to produce 50,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide annually starting in 2024,” Executive Technical Director Daniel Tuffin said.

“This proximity to a near-mine-ready world-class lithium project further enhances the significance of the DGPR outcomes.

“What’s particularly encouraging is the exceptional correlation we’ve observed between the existing high lithium soil geochemistry anomalies, with other supportive trace elements, and the DGPR interpretation for Fitzgerald and Baché target areas.

“This correlation reinforces our confidence in the potential of these targets.”
