Cooper (ASX:CPM) anomaly upgrades Ardmore prospectivity
April 6, 2023 0 By Rueben HaleCooper Metals’ IP survey over Ardmore has located a significant copper anomaly strikingly coincident with copper-gold mineralisation, supported by high-grade samplings at its tenement in Queensland’s prolific Mt Isa district.
Copper results came in up to 23.1 per cent alongside stunning gold grabs as high as 14.9 grams per tonne in the midst of several more high-grade returns from the sampling program, now backed in by a hefty anomaly and upgraded project prospectivity.
Managing Director Ian Warland said the results had combined to make a compelling drill target.
“The IP survey had been very encouraging with the chargeability anomaly broadly coincident with
the copper-gold mineralised shear zone defined in the recent rock chip sampling and mapping,” he said.“The IP crew is completing two profile lines over the highest chargeability areas and a separate IP survey over a mineralised shear zone in the northern part of EPM19125, just 10km to the northeast of the southern IP grid.”
The name Mt Isa is synonymous with world-class base metal deposits, seemingly host to limitless reserves of the red metal, and the Queensland government have backed up multiple explorers in the region, including Cooper, with CEI funding up to $250 thousand a pop to make the region’s next big discovery.
As the explorer prepares for drilling, more IP and rock chip returns will come shortly.
