Cooper (ASX:CPM) quickly continue on copper-gold at Mt Isa East
November 8, 2023After early drilling returned enviable intercepts, Cooper Metals has swiftly begun the follow up at its Raven and Brumby Ridge copper-gold prospects, just two of a large collection of targets assembled at its Mt Isa East asset in northern Queensland.
Seven holes and around 1000 metres will follow up on intersections of 10m @ 1.27% Cu and 0.17 g/t Au from 77m and 3m @ 1.46% Cu and 0.15g/t Au from 100m and into a VTEM anomaly at Raven now modelled at 400 metres long, steeply dipping, and remaining open in all directions.
“As indicated last week, the Company is fast tracking follow up RC drilling at Raven, where we intersected significant Cu-Au mineralisation near surface in October,” Cooper Managing Director Ian Warland said.
“The drilling aims to extend the known mineralisation at depth and along strike, and we will also take the
opportunity to complete some additional drill holes at the Brumby Ridge Prospect. We look forward to updating the market in the coming weeks”.
And assays have not yet all come in before a new round of drilling, with the last nine of the 14-hole campaign yet to arrive.
Those assays are due shortly, and the results of this campaign are booked for December as Cooper look to continue making its way through a large assemblage of Mt Isa targets into the new year.
