Noronex (ASX:NRX) extends Fiesta copper mineralisation zone

Noronex (ASX:NRX) extends Fiesta copper mineralisation zone

January 4, 2024 Off By Rueben Hale

Noronex’s 4900-RC drilling in challenging Nambian terrain has significantly extended the Fiesta copper mineralisation zone, part of 17 RC holes on its Humpack tenements.

The committed campaign delivered many positive copper intercepts at significant step-outs on the main horizon, indicating the potential size of the Fiesta Copper system and the surrounding region under shallow cover.

Noronex’s Humpback project, located in newly granted wholly owned tenements, has several domal structures with prospective NPF-D’Kar contact. The Fiesta deposit is similar to Botswana deposits, including Zone 5.

Highlights include 45 metres at 1.0 per cent copper equivalent reported from hole 23FIERC02, an intercept of over 0.5% Cu over 750m east of any previous intercept on the main Fiesta horizon in 23FORRC03, and an intercept of over 0.5% Cu 500m west of any previous intercept on the main Fiesta horizon in 23FIERC07.

Noronex Chief Geologist Bruce Hooper said the campaign had provided a new understanding of mineralisation at Fiesta.

“The Fiesta deposit is continuing to deliver positive Copper intercepts at significant step-outs on the main horizon which is very encouraging for the potential size of the Fiesta copper system and the surrounding region under shallow cover,” Mr Hooper said.

“The whole 100 per cent-owned Humpback project, supported by the drilling at Fiesta and Blowhole provides numerous favourable structural settings for large deposits that have never been previously drilled.”
